Produced in both adult and pediatric versions, the stainless-steel BROCNSHOSCOPE EFER-DUMON is a modular system compromising a range of interchangeable tracheal and bronchial tubes which are connectable to a universal base having axial and lateral ports, enabling simultaneous use of an endoscopic probe, a ventilating device and a working instrument.

It is a versatile system useful for most bronchoscopy interventions such as biopsy, foreign body removal, dilatation, laser resection, argon plasma coagulation, cryotherapy, electrocoagulation, and silicone stent placement.

The BRONCHOSCOPE EFER-DUMON features the following main ergonomic advantages:

– Metric scale engraving along tubes length

– MEDLOCKTM locking system between tubes and bases

– Patented distal safety stop for safe introduction of silicone stents

– Optimal efficiency of ventilation flux

– 360° rotating ventilation port

– Closable jet ventilation integrated in universal base

– Tubes colour-coding correspond with matching stent placement instrumentation and silicone stents.

– Stainless-steel instrumentation.

Exclusively compatible with the adult bronchoscope kit, this instrumentation kit allows placement of tracheobronchial silicone stents.

The standard adult stent placement kit is composed of:

  • An instrumentation set for placement of short length 8 to 20 mm diameter straight and Y stents comprising:

– Color code red instrumentation for 8 to 10 mm diameter straight stents

– Color code black instrumentation for 10 to 14 mm diameter straight stents

– Color code orange instrumentation for 14 to 20 mm diameter straight and short Y stents

– Each color code includes an easy-to-use telescopic loader

  • A double-action loader color coded orange dedicated to larger diameter and long length straight and Y stents
  • Choice between either a semi-rigid or optical forceps kit dedicated to stent placement, repositioning and extraction.

The stent placement instrumentation features the following ergonomic advantages:

– Associated to the BRONCHOSCOPE EFER-DUMON SERIES III, this instrumentation is equipped with a patented distal safety stop along with a vision channel providing visual observation by an endoscope of the stent placement procedure

– The stent loaders feature a mechanism-free design for optimal autoclave resistance during sterilization.

Specifically developed for the BRONCHOSCOPE EFER-DUMON, the EFER endoscope line comprises a 4 mm bronchial endoscope for small diameter tubes, a 5.5 mm bronchial endoscope suitable for bronchial tubes, and also a short 5.5 mm tracheal endoscope dedicated to tracheal tubes.

All endoscope models are autoclavable and compatible with the Series III ADULT BRONCHOSCOPE EFER-DUMON.

The 5.5 mm bronchial endoscope can be combined with EFER ENDOSCOPY optical forceps.

EFER ENDOSCOPY supplies the main forceps required for interventional rigid bronchoscopy, comprising biopsy and grasping forceps, hook scissors.

  • ADULT SEMI-RIGID STENT PLACEMENT FORCEPS

EFER ENDOSCOPY supplies a range of forceps dedicated to tracheobronchial silicone stent placement, repositioning and extraction.

  • ADULT OPTICAL STANDARD FORCEPS

EFER ENDOSCOPY supplies the main optical forceps required in interventional rigid bronchoscopy, comprising biopsy and grasping forceps. Exclusively compatible with the BX-5500-FA 5.5mm bronchial endoscope, these forceps have a working length and diameter perfectly adapted to the BRONCHOSCOPE EFER-DUMON tubes color-coded black, orange, yellow and white.

  • ADULT OPTICAL STENT PLACEMENT FORCEPS

EFER ENDOSCOPY supplies an optical forceps dedicated to silicone stent repositioning and extraction.
