Project Description

ClariVein® is the latest minimally invasive technique used to treat varicose veins that was pioneered in the USA along with leading surgeons from around the world.

This new treatment option offers an effective, quick, safe and virtually painless way to treat varicose veins. After the short procedure, you will be able to resume normal activities immediately.

Unlike traditional surgical stripping, ClariVein® does not involve invasive surgery. ClariVein® does not generate heat like thermal treatments such as laser and radio-frequency ablation, thus offering zero risks of thermal injury/trauma and eliminating multiple injections of local anaesthetic.

ClariVein® offers many advantages over existing techniques:

  • Safe and effective
  • Minimal pain and discomfort
  • Zero or negligible bruising
  • No multiple needle sticks injuries
  • No risk of thermal (heat) skin injury
  • No nerve damage / paraesthesia
  • No internal leg pressure
  • Faster return to normal activities
  • Excellent clinical results

How Does ClariVein® Work?

A wire rotating at high speed is inserted into the vein under ultrasound guidance, effectively destroying the inner lining of the vein. During the procedure, you may feel a ‘buzzing’ with little or no sensation in your leg.

An injection of a drug called sclerosant safely and painlessly closes the varicose vein, leaving no bruising or nerve/skin damage.

Clinical results have indicated that ClariVein® will provide a safe, effective and lasting technique for the treatment of varicose veins. In some procedures, studies show when using ClariVein® patients reported up to 74% less pain and rapid return to normal activities.
